Sweden’s gaming regulator, Spelinspektionen, has implemented the latest adjustments to the Swedish Gambling Act, increasing the commercial gaming tax rate from 18% to 22% of gross gaming revenue.

Mandatory Software Supplier Licenses

Under the new mandates, every game studio supplying software to Swedish online casinos must hold a certified B2B gaming software permit, preventing unlicensed offshore content from reaching Swedish consumers.

High Channelization Maintained

Spelinspektionen confirmed that Swedish player participation within the regulated domestic market remains above 85%.
