The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has directed local internet service providers (ISPs) to restrict access to 45 unlicensed online gambling websites.
Interactive Gambling Act Enforcement
Since ACMA’s first ISP blocking request in late 2019, more than 1,000 illegal gambling and affiliate portal domains have been successfully blocked under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
Consumer Warning
The regulator warned Australian players that unlicensed sites provide zero consumer dispute resolution or guaranteed payout safety.
